Join us for Sunday School

Join us for our Fellowship Breakfast in the Barr Center Gym at 9:00 am and regular Sunday school classes at 9:30 am.

Youth and Children

3k and 4k
Three and four year-olds will explore Bible stories throughout the year and learn about prayer and giving thanks to God, all in an engaging environment that mixes play and simple storytelling. This class will help lay the foundation for an early understanding of God's love for them and the thread of this love throughout the Old and New Testaments.

5k through 2nd Grade; 3rd through 5th Grade
Students in elementary school will dig into year two of the Holy Moly! curriculum, which combines short and simple videos of Old and New Testament stories with a re-telling of the story in book form. Sunday School leaders will help connect these Bible stories to children’s everyday lives through engaging questions and a craft or activity. Each week, the early elementary and older elementary children will start by gathering together in Room 215 for the video portion, splitting up afterward into separate classrooms
(5k-2nd and 3rd-5th) for age-appropriate activities and discussion time.

Middle School and High School
Middle Schoolers and High Schoolers will meet in two different classrooms in the upstairs Sunday School Hall each week for a time of fellowship, food and discussion based on scripture or a chosen theme series. They will engage in discussion, connecting God’s word to their lives and listening to occasional guest speakers talk about their faith stories. In the Spring, high school juniors and seniors may participate in Confirmation class during the Sunday School hour.

Walk in Love: Christian Belief and Practice in the Anglican Tradition
Our clergy and our lay leaders will offer a class that uses Scripture and the Book of Common Prayer to explain the essential features of our life in Christ. Each class will be lecture based with opportunities for discussion. Come and be reminded of the spiritual gifts of our tradition. Class meets in the Multipurpose Room, lower level of Heyward Hall. Class will encompass a whole program-year.

The Wired Word: This group applies Scripture to current events in our nation and in the world. If you like discussing your faith in the context of the real world, with a small group of people who have a diversity of viewpoints, them you’ll love The Wired Word! Group is moderated by Brock Dillard and meets in the Parlor, first floor of Heyward Hall.

Sundays, Second Sundays of the month
Drive Through the Gospels: The Extraordinary Life of Jesus Christ

Who would you say is the most significant person that ever lived? The all-new "Drive through the Gospels" series takes us on an exciting adventure and tells the story of Jesus from the locations recorded in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Traveling to over 50 ancient sites in Israel, these action-packed episodes delve into the history, archeology, geography, and art surrounding the birth, ministry, death, and resurrection of Jesus. This class will meet the second Sunday of each month, following the 8 am service in the dining room (September 2018 – May 2019) and is led by Davis Bourne.
