Children's Ministry

The nursery is provided for infants to three-year-olds during the 10:30 am Sunday service. The nursery is also available during the Sunday school hour throughout the school year.If there are any questions, or if anyone would like to volunteer to help please contact Madelyn Smith at 803.799.4767 or

Special Programs
Special rograms are offered throughout the year to enrich the children’s understanding of a particular liturgical season. Please watch for the bulletin and the Epistle for special programs such as Vacation Bible School, Feast of Lights & 12th Night Party, Easter Egg Hunt, Children’s Choir, Third Sunday Squad, and Advent Programs.

Children’s Chapel
Children’s Chapel is designed for children 3K to 5K. Throughout the school year, this group meets during the 9:00 am Sunday service. During the sequence hymn, children follow the crucifer down the aisle and are led to the Children’s Chapel. They are taught the Gospel and Episcopal traditions at an age appropriate level. The children return to the service during The Peace.

Worship Education
Worship Education, “What We Do In Worship,” is a program designed for third graders. It is available for an eight -week period in the winter during the 9:00 am service with the children joining the service during The Peace. This program focuses on the Episcopal liturgy, rituals and service.

Children’s Sunday School
Children’s Sunday School is offered for children beginning at age three. These classes meet during the regular Sunday school hour during the school year.

Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School (VBS) is every summer for children beginning at age three through fifth grade. Children experience the Bible and Jesus in a fun casual atmosphere with age appropriate activities.

New Baby Ministry
This ministry provides encouragement and support to families with new babies. The families are visited, provided with a gift card, and a packet about baptisms and special prayers for parents of newborns.
